In the latest batch of Epstein files, released by the Department of Justice in January, Siad’s name appeared 2,090 times. He likened his job of recruiting women to fishing, documents appeared to show. According to the files, Siad wrote to Epstein in 2014: “In This busyness I feel like fisherman some time I cache quick, some time no fish.” Most read in The Sun Siad always denied any wrongdoing. Born in Algeria, he allegedly acted as a recruiter in France for Epstein – working with him from the late 2000s up until 2017, reports claim. The recruiter carried out scouting jobs in countries such as Poland, the Czech Republic, South Africa, Morocco, Cuba, and also France. In 2022, a French woman told police how she had been ensnared by Epstein after allegedly being introduced to him through Siad. In May this year, Siad told BFMTV he knew and connected young women with the convicted sex offender. But he insisted Epstein always presented himself in a professional manner as a casting director for Victoria’s Secret. He also told CNN last month that he always “trusted” Epstein and maintained a strictly business-driven relationship with him. Siad said: “I trust in him, I believe him. This guy is a professional person -he needs somebody. He knows I have good connections around. “If I find the right person who can assist him, I am honoured.” Siad claimed he had visited Epstein’s £10million Paris lair named Avenue Foch – an apartment that reportedly hosted Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Peter Mandelson. But the Swede said he only went for business meetings, which usually lasted only about 10 to 15 minutes. Siad said: “Each time I presented him with models, and I left with the models. “I only had professional relations with him. I don’t know his private life.” Siad had also been accused of rape and sexual assault by five women. Swedish model Ebba Karlsson claimed she was raped in 1990 after Siad allegedly threatened her. Epstein died in prison in 2019 while awaiting trial for sex trafficking. Comment now
