Mandatory Credit: Brett Davis-Imagn Images The Los Angeles Dodgers attempt to clinch another postseason series when they visit the Atlanta Braves in Game 4 of the National League Division Series on Wednesday. Los Angeles put itself in position to clinch with a 3-1 win in Game 3 to take a 2-1 series lead. The two-time defending World Series champions haven’t lost a playoff series since 2023 and they are in the lead despite Shohei Ohtani being just 2-for-10 – both singles – in the series. The Braves need former NL MVP Ronald Acuna Jr. and Matt Olson to wake up their bats if they are to come back and win the series. The San Diego Padres remained alive with a 4-3 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers on Tuesday night. That means Game 4 is in San Diego’s raucous atmosphere and that isn’t good for a Milwaukee franchise that has dropped 12 consecutive road playoff games. The American League features two teams trying to finish off sweeps of their series. The Chicago White Sox, perhaps the best story in baseball this season, will host the Cleveland Guardians. Meanwhile, the Tampa Bay Rays travel to Yankee Stadium and will try to close out their series against the New York Yankees.LOS ANGELES DODGERS AT ATLANTA BRAVESAcuna reportedly skipped out on reporters after the Game 3 loss and the Braves can only hope he’s using that extra free time to watch video of how the Dodgers are pitching him. Acuna is just 2-for-12 in this series and 3-for-18 in five games this postseason and the Braves can’t win this series if he’s going to continue to fizzle and not sizzle. The Dodgers can survive when someone like Ohtani or Teoscar Hernandez (2-for-12) are off their games because of the number of stars in the lineup. Of course, it’s October so the guy shining once again is Enrique Hernandez, who belted his 17th career postseason blast on Tuesday. Hernandez had just 90 at-bats in the regular season.Right-hander Tyler Glasnow starts for the Dodgers and he is making his 14th postseason start and 17th appearance but stands just 2-6 with a 4.43 ERA. Righty Tyler Mahle pitched seven innings of one-run ball in the wild-card series against the Philadelphia Phillies and he’s being asked to repeat their gem Wednesday.Pick: Braves 3B Austin Riley to homer, +640 Our Current Best OffersChannel debug: betting MILWAUKEE BREWERS AT SAN DIEGO PADRESThe Brewers and Padres have played three one-run games and Milwaukee’s ninth-inning comeback in Game 2 is the reason it leads 2-1 as opposed to trailing by the same margin. San Diego overcame an 0-2 deficit in the 1984 NL Championship Series to reach the World Series and Wednesday is the 42-year anniversary of that day the Padres beat the Chicago Cubs in Game 5.San Diego has just two extra-bases hits in this series with one being Jake Cronenworth’s tiebreaking homer in Game 3. Can manufacturing runs work two more times? The Brewers won 103 games in the regular season and would certainly like to prevent this series from going the distance.Christian Yelich ended a 19-game postseason RBI drought in Game 3 before later hitting a bullet that was turned into a game-ending double play by Padres shortstop Xander Bogaerts. He told reporters that the 12-game road losing streak is a non-factor because there’s only one guy left from 2018. Yeah, he’s that one guy.Pick: Padres moneyline, -111 Our Current Best OffersChannel debug: betting TAMPA BAY RAYS AT NEW YORK YANKEESTampa Bay has allowed just two runs in the series as the Yankees badly miss Aaron Judge (calf). It’s hard to see the Rays blowing a 2-0 lead in this series but it certainly isn’t difficult to see New York avoid being swept.Yankees left-hander Max Fried gave up one run and three hits over six innings while beating the Boston Red Sox in Game 2 of the wild-card round. But much more important are these nuggets: Fried is 5-1 with a 1.81 ERA in seven career starts against the Rays and has shut down Tampa Bay star Junior Caminero (2-for-15).The Yankees have just five hits in the series and both of their runs are on Ben Rice solo homers in Game 2. They will try to break out against Rays righty Nick Martinez.Pick: Yankees minus -1.5, +139CHICAGO WHITE SOX AT CLEVELAND GUARDIANSThe White Sox are surprise playoff participants after losing 101, 121 and 102 the last three games. But their 2026 revival includes a two-game sweep of the Houston Astros and consecutive road wins in the first two games of this series with the Guardians.Braden Montgomery stroked a go-ahead double in Chicago’s 4-3 win in Game 2. The White Sox have allowed just seven hits over the first two games and will go with a bullpen game for the third straight contest.Cleveland needs Steven Kwan (1-for-7) and Jose Ramirez (0-for-6, three strikeouts) to get unleashed Wednesday or the sweep just may be in order. The Guardians are 0-for-8 with runners in scoring position and now Chicago will be pumped up to be at home.Pick: Under 8 runs to be scored, -116 Our Current Best OffersChannel debug: betting
