Ordering is easy – the yellow stickers on the menu indicate what’s for one and what’s to share. Our story begins with the tender beef and slippery noodles of kimchi kalguksu, its broth as tart as it is nourishing, while tteokmandooguk – with its milky, beef bone broth, plump dumplings and slippery rice cakes – is a tonic as much as a meal. Kimchi pancakes are unimpeachable, but Korean fish pancakes, packed with fleshy white meat, are just as heavenly dragged through their accompanying vinegar.Service is grab-your-own- share-bowl casual; families, students and neighbours picking up coffee on the way to catch a train colour the whole experience cosy.Must-order: Grilled spicy baby octopus; samgyetang, a chicken and ginseng soup with glutinous-rice stuffed chicken.Good Food reviews are booked anonymously and paid independently.
