Work It, which was released back in September 2002, sees the rapper sing the lyrics: 'Is it worth it, let me work it, I put my thing down, flip it, and reverse it.'The next line appears to be a jumble of syllables — 'Ti esrever dna ti pilf nwod gniht ym tup I'.However fans have now discovered the line is actually the first lyric, but in reverse. In a recent episode of the I Said I'm Sorry podcast, host Yaz Haddad asks his co-host Feras Basal: 'You remember the song from Missy Elliott?', singing he began: 'Is it worth it? Let me work it.'I picked up that the next line is everything reversed that she just said.' I put my thing down, flip it, and reverse it. And then she reverses that whole line,' confirmed Yaz. 'Shut the hell up. Is it actually?' replied Feras. Yaz then demonstrated as he sang the gibberish lyric before putting it through a recorder that flipped it the right way round, revealing that the lyric is in fact 'I put my thing down, flip it, and reverse it' but in reverse. Taking to the comments, Yaz and Feras weren't the only fans to learn this for the first time as others commented: 'I was today years old when I found out';'I thought it was just gibberish lol'; 'That just fried my brain'; 'I had the same reaction when I found out! That’s genius!!'.However others appeared to have known the music trivia for years as they added: 'Welcome to the year 2002, gentlemen. Better late than never I guess'; In a recent episode of the I Said I'm Sorry podcast, host Yaz Haddad shocked his co-host Feras Basal with the music trivia as he exclaimed: 'Shut the hell up. Is it actually?' 'Do people not know this?'; 'Man y’all LATE to this! or I’m just old'; 'If you posted this 20 years ago you'd still be finding this out late'.Fans were also keen to praise Yaz for his incredible rendition of the reversed lyrics, as they pointed out he could have just sang the original and got the recorder to reverse it for him. 'He could of recorded the forward part and had the tech reverse BUT THIS MAN DID THE REVERSE!';'How did he memorise the backwards version tho?!'
