NewsUK News THE body of a woman has been found in “unexplained” circumstances at her home in London as police make an urgent appeal for information. Nicole Beling, 60, was found dead at her house after a family member alerted the police and one man, 61, has been arrested on suspicion of murder. She was reported as missing just after midnight on July 17 and police attended her home in Dittoncroft Close, Croydon, later that morning. After searching the property officers found her body. He was arrested again on August 1 and bailed while police continue their enquiries. Cops are still investigating the cause of her death and it is currently being treated as “unexplained”. Detective Chief Inspector Alison Foxwell, who is leading the investigation, said: “A formal murder investigation has not been launched at this time and we are keeping an open mind as to the circumstances surrounding Nicole’s sad death. “We want to hear from anyone who knew Nicole or may have information that could assist the investigation – and help us find answers for her family. “My thoughts remain with Nicole’s family and loved ones.” Most read in The Sun A spokesperson for the police said: “Police were called at around 00:05hrs on Friday, 17 July after a woman was reported missing by a family member. “She was graded as a high-risk missing person and officers attended her home in Dittoncroft Close later that morning to conduct enquiries into her disappearance. “Following a search of the property, officers discovered the body of the woman. She was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. “She has been formally identified as Nicole Beling, 60, from Croydon. Her family are being supported by specialist officers. “A 61-year-old man was arrested at the scene on Friday, 17 July on suspicion of murder and later released under investigation. “He was further arrested on Saturday, 1 August and has been bailed while enquiries continue. “At this time, Nicole’s death is being treated as unexplained. Her cause of death remains under investigation. “Enquiries into the circumstances of her death continue and are being led by specialist officers from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command.”
