A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: “We can sadly confirm that Alex, from Cannock, has been found deceased. “Alex was reported missing on Saturday 22 August. Specialist searches have been taking place using police search officers and volunteers from search and rescue teams. “Sadly, Alex was found yesterday on Cannock Chase. “We are not treating his death as suspicious and a file will be prepared for HM coroner. “We would like to thank everyone who has come forward with information as part of the efforts to try to find him, as well as those who shared the appeals for information. “We would like to send our condolences to the family during this difficult time and ask for sensitivity around this event during this grieving period.” Most read in The Sun Comment now
