Mis-Teeq’s Su-Elise hits back at bandmate & says split is ‘news to her’ as row threatens to overshadow sell-out gig

MIS-TEEQ singer Su-Elise Nash has hit out at her bandmate Sabrina Washington after being blindsided by news of the band’s split. But The Sun revealed yesterday that the band had split once more with Sabrina opting to sign on for her own solo tour next year in favour of performing with the girls anymore. In a damning post, she revealed that Mis-Teeq were actually weighing up other offers for 2027 – including headlining a major festival as well as expanding their tour regionally. Sharing a post about Sabrina’s solo tour, Su said: “As far as I was aware, today was our deadline to make a decision on some incredible Mis-Teeq offers for 2027… including headlining a major UK festival, performing at another huge UK festival and potentially taking the show regional for everyone who couldn’t make Wembley. “After the incredible response to our sold-out Wembley Arena show, I genuinely believed these were opportunities we were all excited about and hopefully saying YES to today as Mis-Teeq! “So to find out that a press release went out to media today saying ‘Mis-Teeq have split’ has taken me by surprise. That’s news to me… Most read in TV “Either way, I’m incredibly proud of what we achieved at Wembley and so grateful to everyone who came out and supported us.” The Sun were the first to reveal the news of Sabrina’s solo tour which led to the band’s split. Speaking exclusively to The Sun, she said: “We have had such a massive year together and I’m really proud of what we achieved. “We got to come back 25 years later, perform together again and finish with a sold-out Wembley show. It was a really special way to celebrate everything the three of us created together. “But there aren’t any further Mis-Teeq dates or new music planned and we’ve all gone back to doing our own things now. For me, though, I wasn’t ready for the celebration to end there.” Sabrina will embark on her own tour set to kick off in February next year with the singer performing the records she helped create and record including Scandalous, All I Want, One Night Stand, Why and B With Me, alongside solo hits including OMG, Make It Hot and Don’t Call Me. For her A One Night Stand Just Ain’t Enough shows, Sabrina hopes to recreate the atmosphere of a noughties night out, with DJs, dancers, special guests, surprises and familiar faces from the UK Garage, Pop and R&B era joining her at different dates. Sabrina’s announcement comes after Alesha was confirmed as a new co-host of The Voice UK, while Su-Elise is heavily tipped to enter the I’m a Celebrity jungle later this year. Comment now
