Mis-Teeq bring the house down as they reunite for incredible one-off Wembley gig – packed with plenty of special guests

MIS-TEEQ brought the house down as they reunited for an epic celebration of the 25th anniversary of their debut album, Lickin on Both Sides. The trio of ladies looked incredible as they performed to a packed out OVO Arena Wembley for their first full-length concert together in 22 years. Titled their One Night Stand, the band arrived on stage to perform said song to rapturous applause as fans around the venue began to lose their minds at hearing the hit track performed live for the first time in over two decades. The energy was high from the get go with Rampage Sound welcoming various different names from the UK garage and R&B genres to the stage as part of an incredible opening act which helped to get the party going ready for the trio of ladies. Acts such as Nay Nay and Damage helped to set the arena on fire with excitement for the Can’t Get It Back singers. To say the band only had a few weeks in rehearsals for the one-off show, it was packed with slick and punchy choreography and a setlist blended so seamlessly as if it were a classic garage mixtape. Whilst Su-Elise and Sabrina appeared to occasionally rely on the backing track to help get them through the concert, there was no denying that the atmosphere was electric – particularly when original member Zena McNally reunited with the girls for the first time since 2001 to perform their debut hit, Why? It was clear to see that it meant a lot for the girls to finally be back on stage and witnessing the outpouring of love from the crowd. Most read in TV At times it seemed that they were genuinely in awe that they had managed to pull it off with the girls expressing their gratitude to the audience on more than one occasion. It remains to be seen if the success of the concert could lead to a larger scale comeback but I’d safely say that if last night’s energy was anything to go by – the girls are more than likely to enter into discussions.
