Miranda Kerr makes surprise return to the runway after nearly a decade

On Tuesday, the former Victoria’s Secret model took a turn on the catwalk for Stella McCartney, making a surprise appearance nearly a decade after she last walked in a fashion show. Kerr wore a seafoam green jersey dress that was knotted at the waist and featured hip cutouts as well as oversized shoulder pads. Karlie Kloss, now mom of three, has not taken quite the hiatus that Kerr has, but the 34-year-old has certainly turned her attention away from her constant runway rotations of a decade prior. Amber Valletta, 52, was also part of McCartney’s Paris Fashion Week cast; though she is a front row regular, it’s been two and a half years since her last turn on the runway. Getty Images Meanwhile Kerr, 43, was last seen on Moschino fashion show in June 2017 and hasn’t taken another spin until Wednesday morning. This is only the third time Kerr has appeared in a runway show for McCartney; the first two times were in October 2011 and she later walked two years later in September 2013. She retired as a Victoria’s Secret Angel in 2013, but with the lingerie brand’s fashion show airing in just a few weeks, we can’t help but wonder if perhaps Kerr is dusting off her wings.
