Mini Cheddars finally brings back ‘banging’ discontinued flavours after four years

Much like the Jaffa Cake debate, the beloved baked snack seems impossible to categorise — but one thing shoppers can agree on is that they’re undeniably tasty. The crunchy, cheese-packed bites have been a staple for more than four decades. Over the years, Mini Cheddars have expanded beyond their classic cheese flavour, introducing a variety of twists including cheese & onion, smoky BBQ, and cheese & pickle. Now, fans of the cheesy treat can enjoy two popular limited-edition flavours that are making a comeback after four years. What are the new flavours? Cheese Pizza Pizza lovers can get their hands on a Mini Cheddars flavour designed to capture the taste of a cheesy slice. The baked snacks combine the brand’s familiar crunchy texture with a pizza-inspired seasoning. Cheeseburger The second returning flavour takes inspiration from another classic favourite — the cheeseburger. The snack aims to recreate burger-style flavours in Mini Cheddars’ signature bite-sized pieces. The new additions previously appeared as limited-edition releases in June 2022. Speaking four years ago, Leighton Wall, marketing director – savoury at Pladis UK&I (who own Jacob’s Mini Cheddars), told Better Retailing: ‘By launching limited-edition cheesy street food-inspired NPD, we’re aiming to accelerate this and unlock new sales opportunities for our retail customers, particularly around the lunchtime treat occasion – whether shoppers are elevating an at-home lunch or grabbing an individual packet to enjoy a moment of cheeky, cheesy pleasure on the move.’ Snack fans hoping to try the returning flavours will need to act fast, as the Cheese Pizza and Cheeseburger varieties are only available for a limited time. On Facebook, one person said ‘these look tasty,’ while one fan said ‘These are banging.’ ‘Oooh, got to try these,’ added another. ‘A whole bag of cheese pizza just for me,’ wrote a customer – clearly not in the mood to share the six-pack. If you aren’t a fan of Mini Cheddars, though, there are many other tasty snacks to look forward to this autumn. This comes as Walkers launched a new range that gives a modern twist to old fan favourites, and released two new flavours as part of their Do Us A Flavour campaign, inspired by a UK takeaway favourite.
