A MILLIONAIRE Hot Seat contestant took a punt on a tricky art question and was left seriously disappointed, but would you have got it right? The ITV spin-off returned this week, with Jeremy Clarkson back on hosting duties. He then presented the possible answers: “Is it A) knife, B) spoon, C) salt or D) drinking glasses?” An unsure Sinead said: “I should know this… but do I? Or am I going to panic? Oh, this is tricky! Jude Fitzgerald, a community hub coordinator from Anglesey, took her place in the Hot Seat without the option to pass. Explaining his reasoning, he said: “I’m figuring knife and spoon will… Drinking glasses would not have been a thing at the time of Christ, but whether Leonardo da Vinci knew that or not is where my mind is at right now. “Romans were paid in salt. It’s where their salary came from, so would they have used it on their meal? I’m going to say salt, final answer.” Most read in TV However, Jeremy soon delivered the bad news, telling him: “I’m sorry, that is the wrong answer.” Jude looked gutted as Jeremy revealed that the correct answer was spoon. The presenter explained: “Salt appears knocked over on the table and drinking glasses appear on the table.” Unlike the original Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?, the spin-off sees six contestants take turns in Jeremy Clarkson’s famous Hot Seat with only one winner. Players race against the clock without any lifelines. A correct answer moves the game up the money ladder, while a wrong answer knocks the contestant out and reduces the jackpot. They can also pass, sending them to the back of the queue and forcing the next player to tackle the same question. Clarkson has likened the format to “a very expensive game of musical chairs”.
