Millie Bobby Brown reacted to the death of Kaylee Hottle, 18, her costar in Godzilla vs. Kong. The actress was killed in a July 21 car crash, her father Jonathan Hottle confirmed. Following the news that the 18-year-old was killed in a July 21 car accident, the Stranger Things actress paid her respects to her Godzilla vs. Kong costar. "I'm so devastated to hear this," Brown wrote over a black-and-white shot of a young Hottle acting in the 2021 blockbuster. "You will be deeply missed Kaylee." Hottle died in a fatal single-vehicle collision in Ijamsville, Maryland, in the early hours of July 21, according to a press release from the Frederick County Sheriff's Office. "The preliminary investigation revealed that a 1995 Honda Accord, operated by a 19-year-old Frederick man, traveled off the right side of the two-lane roadway and struck a culvert," the statement explained. "Excessive speed is believed to be a contributing factor in the collision."Hottle’s family also spoke out about her death, with her dad Jonathan Hottle sharing the news on Facebook in a message in American Sign Language, alongside the caption, “I am taking a flight I never would like to take.” In addition to making a name for herself when starring as the adoptive daughter of Rebecca Hall's scientist character in the monster movie and its 2024 follow-up Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire, Hottle has also had a guest appearance on Magnum P.I. in 2021.Photo by Amy Sussman/FilmMagic / Photo by Roy Rochlin/Getty Images for NetflixIn all of her work, Hottle—who descended from four generations of hearing-impaired individuals—brought awareness to the deaf community.
