Following the news that the 18-year-old was killed in a July 21 car accident, the Stranger Things actress paid her respects to her Godzilla vs. Kong costar. "I'm so devastated to hear this," Brown wrote over a black-and-white shot of a young Hottle acting in the 2021 blockbuster. "You will be deeply missed Kaylee." Hottle died in a fatal single-vehicle collision in Ijamsville, Maryland, in the early hours of July 21, according to a press release from the Frederick County Sheriff's Office. "The preliminary investigation revealed that a 1995 Honda Accord, operated by a 19-year-old Frederick man, traveled off the right side of the two-lane roadway and struck a culvert," the statement explained.
