Miley Cyrus has officially entered a new era! The Grammy winner hopped onto Instagram to tease new music, and fans were quick to notice that she’s seemingly changed her name to just “Miley.” As in, the last name “Cyrus” no longer appears in her username, bio, or even her website, which is now mileyofficial.com. She also posted a new photo of herself captioned—you guessed it—MILEY.All signs point to new music incoming for Miley, but it’s unclear if she’s officially changed her name and decided to become a mononymous artist like Beyoncé, Cher, Rihanna, Adele, or Madonna, or if “Miley” is simply the name of her new album and she’s leaning all the way in.Either way, the announcement of her new era comes just days after Miley paid tribute to her beloved late godmother, Dolly Parton. In the Instagram post preceding her name change and new era, Miley wrote “The feeling of losing my Aunt Dolly is beyond what feels right to share. Our most sacred moments were private and they’ll stay there behind the stage, beneath the glamour & between our hearts. What I KNOW is Dolly would want me to feel it, write a song about it, and then continue on and be strong. I have an angel by my side. One of our last conversations was about music and metamorphosis.”It’s unclear if Miley’s new album will feature a song about Dolly, but Miley ended her statement saying, in part, “I will always love her and want to make her proud.”
