MIKEL ARTETA is blocking out the noise of the transfer window – except when his kids quiz him on the latest rumours. The Arsenal boss has confirmed “100 per cent” that the club will not sell Myles Lewis-Skelly, amid interest from Chelsea and Manchester United. How close are we with this?’ “The rest I just focus on the information that I gather from Andrea [Berta], the board, or Josh [Kroenke] in this case, to understand where we are with those transfers and what we are able to do and why not.” Arsenal are set to take their summer spending close to the £200million mark when they complete the signing of Ezri Konsa. Asked if the midfielder will be an Arsenal player when the window shuts, Arteta said: “100 per cent. “The players that have been raised in our system, and they feel generally that love and that connection with the club, they bring something else, there’s no question about that. “We need to look after them in a really special way because they bring value that is very difficult to find. “That’s why, when we can, we want to protect those assets as much as possible, develop them and make them extremely important for the club.” Arsenal have been trying to sign a left winger all summer and failed in their pursuits of Morgan Rogers and Vinicius Junior.
