Results are rolling in thick and vast in the Midterm elections, as millions of voters give their verdict on the second Trump presidency. While not on the ballot, Trump’s agenda for the next two years is at stake if Democrats are able to take back control of both chambers. An exit poll conducted by SSRS suggest Trump's 19-state campaign blitz for Republican candidates in recent weeks has done little to improve his standing with voters. Republicans have seen sharp declines among Black men, Latinos, young voters, evangelical Christians and voters without college degrees, according to the early exit poll data.So far the Democrats have already managed to pick up a number of big wins, including Jon Ossoff in Georgia and Democrat Roy Cooper in North Carolina. Overall, Democrats will need to flip four Senate seats and three House seats to gain the majority. The president, meanwhile, has spent the early part of the evening repeatedly posting about Fox News on social media, about how much he dislikes their coverage. Sam Rkaina4 November 2026 01:45Democrats on course to break Republican supermajority In a sign of things to come tonight, Democrats have flipped enough seats in Florida’s state House to break the Republican supermajority.Over the last several years, Florida Republicans have narrowly held two-thirds of both the Florida state Senate and House, giving them significant power to support Governor Ron DeSantis’s agenda while passing procedural rules without any Democratic input.“Florida Democrats just delivered a decisive victory and smashed the Republican supermajority in the House. “Florida Republicans have abused their power for years to push an unpopular and dangerous agenda, including attacking voting rights and rigging their congressional maps,” Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee President Heather Williams said in a statement on Tuesday night.“Now that we have broken the supermajority in the House, Democrats are better positioned to fight back against rampant extremism and protect against attacks on our democracy,” she said.Sam Rkaina4 November 2026 01:31Leavitt calls on law enforcement to intervene after polling place standoff Former White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt urged police to intervene following a standoff with a “left-wing nut job” at a New Hampshire polling place on Election Day.More on this as breaking story as we get it....The former White House press secretary (AFP/Getty)Sam Rkaina4 November 2026 01:16Breaking: House results continue to roll in Republican Joe Strada wins election to U.S. House in Florida's 11th Congressional District. Many voters said they feel worse off financially than when Trump entered the White House in 2025, and nearly nine in 10 highlighted the cost of living as a major factor in their vote, signaling a broad repudiation of Trump and Republicans.Released prior to any election results being announced, the initial exit polls served as an early barometer of voter discontent.Upon entering office, Trump vowed to address high inflation rapidly, but most voters said they believe his key policies—including foreign tariffs and the war in Iran—have ultimately made their personal economic situation noticeably worse.Two-thirds blamed Trump for persistent high prices, while three-quarters stated they were angry or dissatisfied with the trajectory of the nation, reflecting an appetite for change. Respondents also voiced worry regarding government corruption.Sam Rkaina4 November 2026 01:05
