Spring (Texas) Klein Oak four-star running back Micah Rhodes has known he wanted to be a Longhorn for a long time. So, he decided to commit to Steve Sarkisian, Jabbar Juluke, and the burnt orange on his birthday. That’s October 8th, at 12:00am midnight. That’s how excited he is to be a Longhorn in the Class of 2028. He joins Miami (Fla.) American Heritage four-star QB Neimann Lawrence in the class. Why Texas? “Too many reasons,” Rhodes told Inside Texas “It’s my birthday today and I just want to enjoy the day.” Rhodes chose Texas over Ohio State, Notre Dame, Georgia, OU, Baylor, and others. For the junior tailback, the Longhorns program has so much to offer the North Houston product. “Jabbar Juluke convinced me and Steve Sarkisian sealed the deal,” said Rhodes, about why he ultimately chose the Horns. Rhodes is the No. 158th overall prospect, No. 11-ranked RB, and No. 18th rated player in Texas for the Class of 2028, according to the Rivals Industry Rankings.
