A middle class couple whose marriage collapsed when the enraged wife tried to smear faeces into her husband's mouth in a row over 'over him talking so much s***', are, incredibly, discussing a reconciliation.Alison Moore had subjected her husband Rob to several violent episodes over a number of months culminating in the disgusting and distressing attack involving excrement after they rowed when returning from a local pub to their £1.2million farmhouse home.Mrs Moore, who has been living in an Airbnb since they separated following the attack, was handed an 18-month suspended jail sentence at Southampton Crown Court on Thursday. The Moores, who are both 63, recently put their stunning three-bedroom farmhouse on the market, a move which neighbours initially took to be a natural consequence of their inevitable break up.But the Daily Mail has now learned that the proceeds of the house sale could yet be used to give the Moores a 'fresh start' together following tentative talks about trying to save the marriage. The elegant property, which dates back to the 1700s, is set in a half-acre orchard and comes with a garage with room for six vehicles, as well as stables, a paddock and landscaped gardens that offer stunning views across the surrounding countryside. The tempestuous marriage of Rob and Alison Moore marriage collapsed after she smeared faeces into his mouth in a row 'over him talking so much s***' in a row that ended up in court Mrs Moore, who has had a volatile relationship with her second husband, was handed an 18-month suspended prison sentence this week - and has been living in an Airbnb since the attack And, on the same day as Mrs Moore was being sentenced, the couple's £1.2million 18th century farmhouse in the sleepy Hampshire village of Damerham was being put on the market, leading many to assume that the couple were getting divorcedThe house is in the tiny village of Damerham, Hampshire, which has a population of just 500 and whose civic attractions are limited to a village hall and a pub, The Compasses. The pub's existence is not something that would keep Mrs Moore in the village, however, as she is barred after she downed a bottle of wine, took a line of cocaine cocaine there - then launched an unsavoury attack on a woman. More of which later.Perhaps unsurprisingly, 'poogate' - as Moore's attack on her husband has become known locally - is the hot topic of drinkers at The Compasses and across the village which nettles in the heart of the New Forest. The couple have lately become notorious in Damerham, largely because of Mrs Moore's outrageous behaviour in recent years, which as well as resulting in that pub ban also led to more than one court appearance. And news that the Moores apparently still harbour hopes of repairing their damaged marriage by selling up and moving away has shot around the village this week - causing widespread incredulity.Mrs Moore is currently living in a holiday let in Dorset, after previously spending three weeks remanded in notorious women's prison HMP Bronzefield, while awaiting her court appearance. Her estranged husband meanwhile is still living in the Damerham home with their two dogs while it is up for sale.Mr Moore, who married Alison 13 years ago, declined to discuss his situation when the Mail visited this week. But a friend of the couple who lives nearby revealed: 'They've put their house up for sale but even though they have been living apart they are in contact and are talking about the future - and how it could yet be with each other.'It's quite unbelievable really that they think they might still have a future together after what happened, given the way Alison has treated him over the years.'But they are talking about the chance of making a fresh start away from Damerham. I think they just want to be in a place where nobody knows them.'Another villager told us: 'I know I wouldn't want to be with a woman who had shoved s*** into my mouth. I don't know how you come back from that as a couple.'But each to his own and if they can work it out, well I say hats off to them. Most men wouldn't be able to do it.'During the hearing, Mr Moore provided a victim impact statement but asked for it not to be read out in open court. He also said that he did not support a restraining order against his wife and left the court with her by his side.Mrs Moore is a wealthy, retired businesswoman who made her money in property. But she has acquired a fiery reputation in genteel Damerham even before she was barred from The Compasses.A worker at the pub told the Daily Mail: 'We took this action last year because she gets quite out of control after a drink. This is a very quiet, friendly pub but she could get very rowdy after a few. She is the only person we have ever barred.'One regular, who is friends with Mr Moore, said: 'He's a lovely, quiet man. There's nobody around her who's got a bad word to say about him. But I can't say the same for Alison - let's just say she can get quite troublesome after a drink.'On one hand I'm very shocked that he's still thinking of staying with her. But on the other, it doesn't surprise me because Rob's a very soft hearted, gentle soul.' But a friend of the Moores - pictured at their wedding 13 years ago - has told the Mail that there may be hope for the couple yet, with them dicussing a future together - and a fresh start Mrs Moore is the only customer ever to be barred from her local pub the Three Compasses in Damerham following an incident several years ago where she drank a bottle of wine, snorted a line of cocaine - and marched over the road to confront a love rival Southampton Crown Court was told that Mrs Moore, who has previous convictions for drink driving, had self-referred to the renowned Priory rehab clinic to 'review' her relationship with alcohol.Rose Burns, defending, told the court that she had been suffering from depression following a series of bereavements. This included the deaths of both her father and mother in the space of a year, before her sister died earlier this year from a head injury incurred by falling down stairs. The retiree had also recently suffered the death of an uncle and finally one of her dogs had died too.Ms Burns told the court: 'A lack of self-control drove her to do these things; in her right mind, she wouldn't have done them.'She is determined her behaviour will change and she wants to try and see if a reconciliation [with her husband] is possible.'The court heard that Moore pushed her husband onto the bed at their home after accusing him of 'not standing up for her' at a pub while also lambasting him as 'boring'.They had spent the afternoon drinking together in The Compasses and another pub before their explosive return home.As the incident unfolded, Mrs Moore screamed at her husband 'You talk so much s**t, I'm going to make you eat it,' before attempting to follow through on her promise.Mr Moore broke free and went to wash his mouth out and change his clothes. Police were called and Mrs Moore was arrested. But before cleaning himself, he had taken a picture of his face smeared in faeces, which was later shown to the court. He also revealed that his wife had previously struck him in the back with a broom handle as well as hitting him in the face while wearing a wedding ring.Photographs taken following those incidents in March 2024 and August 2026 were presented in court and showed a cut above his eye and a visible injury including reddening to his back. But this is not the first time Mrs Moore has found herself on the wrong side of the law.Four years ago in 2022 she became 'besotted' with a builder called Gary House who was doing work at the Moores' home. During the trial over that incident, it was revealed that Moore drank a bottle of wine and took cocaine - then at 11pm marched 300 yards through the village to Mr House's property and confronted Aimee Burnett, his partner of 11 years. A previous court case involving Mrs Moore heard how she became 'besotted' with Gary House, a builder who was working at the couple's marital home. One night Mrs Moore turned up at the builder's home and confronted Aimee Burnett, his partner of 11 yearsMs Burnett received a knock on the door while watching a film. She answered it to find Moore on the doorstep, who told her: 'Your husband is trying to f*** me.'Moore left her victim 'shaking and in complete shock' when, having already tried to barge into her house, she dragged Ms Burnett by the hair, flinging her to the ground. At the time Mr House was sat in the bath upstairs listening to music.Ms Burnett, who still lives in Damerham but is now separated from Mr House, told the Daily Mail: 'When I heard about the poo incident it really didn't surprise me. She's an awful woman who has been abusive to her husband and others for a long time.'I know their house is up for sale but can't believe that they are even considering staying together. What she did to her husband is disgusting. It took me a long while to get over her attacking me and when I see her around the village, I just walk straight past because I've got nothing to say to her.'Ms Burnett revealed that Mrs Moore once turned up at her front door at 11pm and claimed that her partner at the time, Gary House was trying to have sex with her and that she had messages to prove this. She said: 'I'd seen the messages, and it appeared to me that she wanted to have sex with Gary, not the other way round. I told her to go away and then she went for me and tried to force her way into my house.' Mrs Moore banged on the front door of Ms Burnett's house. Ms Burnett was watching a film while Mr House was upstairs having a bath. She told her love rival: 'Your husband is trying to f*** me.' and dragged by the hair before flinging her to the ground, leaving Ms Burnett shakenMrs Moore was arrested and charged with using violence to secure entry to a premises and assault by beating. She denied both charges but was found guilty after a trial. She was given a one-year restraining order for the 'unpleasant' attack and ordered to pay Burnett £500 compensation, £620 in legal fees and a £95 victim surcharge.Mrs Moore was sentenced to a 12-month community order consisting of 12 rehabilitation requirement days and 100 hours of unpaid work.Ms Burnett revealed that she and Mr House ended their relationship soon after the incident. She added: 'If I was Rob Moore, I'd do the same but that's all I want to say about their relationship because I don't have anything to do with either of them. If they are leaving Damerham, then I say good riddance.'
