Michael Stipe – “Hum Desiderata”

In April, Michael Stipe appeared on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert to debut a new song called "The Rest Of Ever" and reveal that he's readying his debut solo album. Now, the former R.E.M. frontman is sharing another preview titled "Hum Desiderata."The track is only available for listening on the sound exhibition platform Joyfully Waiting. It consists of Stipe and additional vocalist Elizabeth Hatmaker reciting the 1927 poem "Desiderata" by Max Ehrmann over an instrumental track by Stipe and Andy LeMaster called "Hum."Last month, he stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! to perform the Rooster theme song, "I Played The Fool," for the first time with Andrew Watt. His Simpsons episode was also recently nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Animated Program.Listen to "Hum Desiderata" here.
