Michael J. Fox Shares Glimpse of Daughter Esme in Rare Photos

The Back to the Future alum recently shared a peek as his and wife Tracy Pollan’s daughter Esme in honor of her 25th birthday. “Ezzie, you’ve been many people over the last quarter century…all of them fabulous!” Fox wrote in a Nov. 3 Instagram post. “Happy birthday, I love you so much!” In Fox’s post, he went back and forth from the future, including a photo of his daughter and wife from when she was a little kid, as well as highlights throughout her adulthood including her running the New York City Marathon and graduating from Duke University. The 65-year-old’s sweet post comes shortly after Esme, as well as his and Pollan’s kids Sam, 37, and twins Aquinnah and Schuyler, both 31, joined him at the Emmys 2026 in September, where he was honored with the Bob Hope Humanitarian Award. Fox emphasized the support he had received from his family throughout his Parkinson’s diagnosis, thanking them “for their sacrifices, for their patience, and for their love.”He emphasized of everything his family had gone through since his 1991 diagnosis, “You have no idea.” Meanwhile, Fox shared that he has been floored by the support he’s received from his audiences as his disease has progressed. “Support from all of you who are so uplifting and just made me feel like I keep doing this,” he continued. “I hadn't lost what I do and you couldn't take it away from me. And it's because you stood up for me and I appreciate it. Eventually, I understood that accepting Parkinson's didn't mean I had to surrender to it. It just meant doing what I could for everyone living with this disease.” Of course, Fox’s family has proved time and again that they will support him in his Parkinson’s journey—whether he is on or off the screen. In March, Esme and Schuyler ran the New York City Half Marathon in honor of her father’s eponymous foundation, which is fighting to find a cure to Parkinson’s.Michael J.
