BRITS will enjoy some warmer weather this weekend after a chilly start to September. A number of locations are set to see highs of 24C on Saturday afternoon before rain arrives next week. Before the warmer conditions return, rain is forecast to move in from the west today, with brisk winds and downpours anticipated in northern England and Wales. The rain is expected to clear by tomorrow, with the Met Office telling Brits that “Friday looks fine with sunny spells” and that people in the south will be “feeling pleasantly warm”. On Saturday, large parts of the north of England and Scotland will be hit with a band of rain, followed by sunshine and showers. By 4pm, however, a large number of areas will be experiencing 24C temperatures, including London, Cambridge, Oxford and Taunton. Monday will even see even larger parts of the country enjoying the hot weather, with London, Reading and Cambridge all recording 25C highs.
