Mental evaluation ordered for man who broke into Kim Kardashian’s home and stole car

The brazen thief accused of sneaking onto Kim Kardashian’s $60 million property in LA and swiping a Lexus for a joyride has been ordered to undergo a mental evaluation. Trey Mendel is facing felony charges of taking a vehicle without consent and second-degree burglary for hopping behind the wheel of the vehicle — a 2017 Lexus GX 470 that belonged to one of Kardashian’s staffers — and driving around, according to legal documents. Mendel’s public defender told the judge that the 27-year-old accused criminal did not seem mentally well after the lawyer visited him. He’s scheduled to be back in court later this month after the evaluation.
