MeLE Quieter HD fanless mini PC with Intel N150 has room for an SSD and HDD inside

Skip to contentThe MeLE Quieter line of mini PCs are small fanless computers that have been around for years, and which are often so small that they’re nearly pocket-sized. You’d need a pretty big pocket to fit the new MeLE Quieter HD, which measures 150 x 105.4 x 39.6mm (5.9″ x 4.15″ x 1.56″), making it the tallest mini PC in the family so far.But the company uses that extra height to give the system room for both an M.2 2280 slot for PCIe 3.0 NVMe storage and a 2.5 inch drive for a SATA HDD or SSD. The new system is available now for $450 and up.While that price feels a little steep for a mini PC with a 6-watt, quad-core Intel N150 processor, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage, that’s because my conception of how much those things should cost is probably trapped in 2025. These days it’s not exactly cheap, but nothing with RAM is.For what it’s worth, MeLE is positioning this as an industrial, dust-resistant system that supports 24/7 operation and can drive up to three displays for digital signage, among other things. The company also offers a model with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage for $500 and a 16GB + 512GB version for $650. Or you could save a few bucks by opting for an older Intel Celeron N5105 processor, but the N150 is a significantly better chip for not much more money. The computer has a single SODIMM slot for user-replaceable DDR4-3200 memory, so you could also theoretically buy a cheaper model now and upgrade later if RAM prices ever come down (or if you’ve got a spare stick lying around).Ports include:3 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A (10 Gbps)2 x USB 2.0 Type-A (480 Mbps)1 x USB Type-C for power (12V/2A)2 x HDMI 2.01 x DisplayPort 1.42 x 3.5mm audio (combo mic & line out)1 x Gigabit Ethernet1 x microSD card readerThe Quieter HD supports WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 5.1.via FanlessTech
