Meghan Markle To Co-Host ‘Junior MasterChef Australia’

She might not be set to appear in The Gentlemen, but Meghan Markle is headed for the Junior MasterChef kitchen. The Duchess of Sussex will be a “special guest” on Junior MasterChef Australia, the Network Ten version of Banijay’s culinary cook-off series, and comes after an appearance on MasterChef Australia earlier this year. She will host alongside Poh Ling Yeow when the show, in which junior chefs compete to be crowned champion, returns to the Skydance-owned Ten next year after six years off air. “I had an incredible time with the whole team at MasterChef this past April, so when they approached me to come back and work with this young group of talent, it was an easy yes,” said Markle. “I love cooking with my own kids, so seeing what these young stars create in the kitchen is going to be a lot of fun. I can’t wait to see what they cook up.” Watch on Deadline Markle hosted a lifestyle and cooking show for Netflix, With Love, Meghan, which premiered last year. Two seasons of the show debuted in 2025, but with Markle and Prince Harry’s Neflix coming to an end, the show has also finished. Yeow said the news of MasterChef Australia‘s return would be “met with plenty of excitement,” and added: “I had a lovely time filming with Meghan earlier this year, and being reunited will be a real treat. I can’t wait to meet our pint-sized culinary adventurers – I’m expecting plenty of delicious surprises and a little mischief, too.” Banijay Entertainment’s Endemol Shine Australia is making the show, with Banijay Rights distributing internationally. Markle has been in the headlines recently due to the allegations he father, Thomas Markle, possessed child abuse images. The Duchess released a statement, saying: ”I am deeply distressed at the news that has come to light in the last 24 hours, and my thoughts are with any children who may have been harmed.” She has not had contact with her father since 2018, when she was made aware of allegations against him. Last week, several cast members were added to the third season of Netflix crime caper The Gentlemen. Though Markle had been heavily linked to a role, she was not on the list and it now appears she is not joining the ensemble.
