While the buyers and sellers have not been officially disclosed, the transaction comes a day after CNBC-TV18 reported, citing sources, that Peak XV Partners and Elevation Capital were looking to sell a combined 2.3% stake in the company through block deals.At 10:37 am, Meesho shares were trading 0.96% higher at Rs 193.40 on the NSE. The stock had earlier touched an intraday high of around Rs 195 before trimming some gains. Over the past one month, the stock has gained about 1%, according to exchange data.WHAT THE BLOCK DEAL INVOLVEDAround 10.48 crore shares changed hands in the block deal window at an average price of Rs 186 apiece, valuing the transaction at approximately Rs 1,949 crore. On Monday, the business news channel had reported, citing sources, that existing investors Peak XV Partners and Elevation Capital were likely to sell around 10.5 crore shares, equivalent to about 2.3% of Meesho's equity, through block deals.The report had said the proposed deal size was around Rs 1,900 crore, with a floor price of Rs 182.08 per share, representing a 5% discount to the previous closing price.WHO ARE THE LIKELY SELLERS? As of the June quarter shareholding pattern, Peak XV Partners Investments V held a 10.06% stake in Meesho, while Peak XV Partners Growth Investments IV owned 1.39%.
