McDonald’s is finally bringing back an iconic menu item from the 00s

More often than not, their prayers go unanswered, but occasionally the fast food chain delivers. In 2024, McDonald’s revived the McRib, and now another iconic item is set to return. It’s good news for those who’ve been craving a Snack Wrap, as Metro can exclusively confirm that the cheap treat is rejoining the UK menu in just a few days. After a decade, the Snack Wrap is back! (Picture: McDonald’s UK) When is the Snack Wrap back? The Snack Wrap officially returns to McDonald’s UK from 11am on Tuesday, October 6. The fan-favourite was a staple on the fast food chain’s UK menu between 2006 and 2016, and featured one Chicken Select, lettuce, cheese, and cool mayo inside a flour tortilla. For 2026, it’s a little different, though, as fans will notice it no longer contains cheese and now comes with a black pepper mayo. As for the price, the wrap will cost £1.99 as part of the Saver Menu. If one Snack Wrap isn’t enough, McDonald’s is also offering customers the option to double up as part of Meal Deal Plus. The offer includes a main, medium fries, a bonus side and a medium drink for £5.95, and the Snack Wrap will be available as both a main and bonus side. This comes just a few days after McDonald’s launched the World Heist 2.0. Inspired by the idea that a Maccies abroad hits different, the menu features items ‘heisted’ from McDonald’s in Germany, Canada, India, Australia, China, and the Netherlands. There’s the Big Rösti from Germany, the Maple & Cheddar Chicken from Canada, and Paprika McShaker Fries from the Netherlands, plus newdrinks and desserts.
