The Love Island presenter, 32, was robbed at the final hurdle last night when YouTuber King Kenny, 29, threw her under the bus at the roundtable and she was banished before making it to the fire pit. After gliding through the entire series undetected, she was cruelly hurled out the door and the Faithful seized their chance for glory with comedian Romesh Ranganathan and Heartstopper’s Sebastian Croft emerging as winners. Romesh and Sebastian split the prize pot of £83,000 between the charities of their choice, but Maya couldn’t let the charity she was fighting for down and has made an incredible gesture. She wrote on X: ‘Just donated what I would have won for my chosen charity [Action For Children] amazing cause.’ Action for Children is a UK charity supporting vulnerable children, young people and families often dealing with poverty, abuse, neglect or violence. Maya remained a faithful traitor right to the very end (Picture: BBC/Studio Lambert/Euan Cherry) Naturally, she was showered with praise for the donation, with one fan commenting: ‘Even in defeat… still the star of the show.’ Another wrote: ‘queen…..donating the money that shouldve been yours after carrying the whole season’ Sebastian and Romesh both donated their prize money to charities for displaced people. Romesh donated his half to the Refugee Council after becoming a patron for the charity earlier this year. He told Claudia: ‘Whatever your politics, I think we should be able to agree that people who have been forced from their homes deserve to be treated with humanity and dignity. ‘The Refugee Council does incredibly important work, and I’m very proud to support it.’ Romesh Ranganathan and Sebastian Croft clinched a shock Celebrity Traitors victory (Picture: BBC) His fellow champion Sebastian donated his winnings to the humanitarian charity Choose Love. Formerly, Help Refugees, the charity works to support displaced communities around the world. They do this by working with grassroots and community-led organisations who understand the needs of displaced communities to ensure they have the funding they need to provide the right support. In an interview with the BBC, Bash explained why he chose Choose Love. ‘I used to volunteer with them when I was 15 and 16, when they were first starting out. I’m now an ambassador for them,’ he explained. ‘I have an organisation called Queer Is Always Here, which operates underneath Choose Love and raises money for them. And with them and Queer Is Always Here, we’ve raised just under £300,000 so far for queer refugees and displaced people.’ Deals of the Day This Hoover vacuum is a game-changer for pet owners and muddy homes The wellbeing brand behind everyone's favourite candles has launched its biggest sale yet See London's Christmas lights from an open-top double-decker bus this winter My skin always suffers when the heating goes on but this serum changed that The skincare formula that finally took the guesswork out of my routine Celebrity Traitors series 2 is available to stream in full on BBC iPlayer now.
