There’s no word on the role the Stranger Things and Little Women star will have as part of Legendary Entertainment and Hasbro Entertainment’s upcoming film and TV universe that reimagines the Habro brand. Hawke will next be seen in Lionsgate’s The Hunger Games: Sunrise On The Reaping, Graham Parkes’ romantic comedy Wishful Thinking and Netflix’s original series God Of The Woods. Her earlier credits include Disney and Pixar’s Inside Out 2, Wes Anderson’s Asteroid City, Jennifer Kaytin Robinson’s feature Do Revenge, Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Gia Coppola’s feature film Mainstream and Bradley Cooper’s Leonard Bernstein drama Maestro. Johnson is also attached to write the adaptation, alongside Noah Gardner and Aidan Fitzgerald. Habro’s trading card game was launched in 1993 and now includes streaming, digital games, publishing, consumer products, live events and IP crossovers. The card game’s mythology has also given way to crossover collaborations with iconic franchises like Final Fantasy, Marvel, Star Trek, Dungeons & Dragons and The Lord of the Rings. Legendary is known for earlier adaptations like A Minecraft Movie, based on the video game and starring Jack Black and Jason Momoa and the Dune movie franchise adapted from Frank Herbert’s epic novel. Upcoming Legendary films include Dune: Part 3, a film adaptation of the Street Fighter game, and the live action-animation hybrid comedy Animal Friends, starring Ryan Reynolds, Jason Momoa, Aubrey Plaza and Dan Levy. Other Hasbro Entertainment projects include a reimagining of Clue across film and TV with Sony’s TriStar Pictures and Sony Pictures Television, and a deal with LuckyChap and Lionsgate to produce a film based on Monopoly. Hawke is repped by CAA and Untitled Entertainment. THR Newsletters Sign up for THR news straight to your inbox every day Subscribe Sign Up
