Despite the volume of Secret Lair crossovers we've seen in Magic: The Gathering, Masters of the Universe is one that is drawing an unusual amount of criticism, especially compared to some other Universes Beyond crossovers. Some of it is because there is a whole five-bundle Superdrop being given to it, while others are unsure whether it's deserving of a place in MTG lore at all. Regardless of what is being said, we are getting a Master of the Universe Superdrop really soon, and whether it appeals to you, it can't be denied that there are some pretty cool cards being reprinted with all-new artwork. Time will tell whether this drop sits on the Secret Lair website long after launch or ends up on eBay at extortionate prices. This Superdrop was first teased during MagicCon Amsterdam with some key art, but all cards for the drop have now been revealed, alongside prices and a release date. The Masters of the Universe Secret Lair drop will be live on Monday, September 14, 2026. It comes two weeks after the Marvel Superdrop and Zeta Set, capping off an extremely busy few months for the service. Monday is the typical launch day for Secret Lair, and all other details follow the usual Secret Lair format. A pre-queue for the drop will open at 8 am PT, allowing you to add any products you're interested in to a basket and be ready to check out. You'll then enter the waiting room, which at 9 am PT will be randomized into another queue to check out and complete your purchase. It doesn't matter whether you're in the waiting room at 8 am PT or 8:59 am PT; you have no guarantees of being at the front of the queue come 9 am PT. Mega bundles featuring all the foil, nonfoil, or just every Masters of the Universe Secret Lair bundle will also be available, but these offerings don't tend to save you much money and are often just a simpler way of putting everything in your basket at once. By The Power Of Grayskull The first of the bundles from the Masters of the Universe Superdrop is By the Power of Greyskull. It includes five cards, four of which are renamed reprints, alongside a simple art switch. He-Man, Champion of Eternia [Winota, Joiner of Forces] Crackle with Power Orko, Trollan Magician [Delina, Wild Mage] Man-at-Arms, Master Tactician [Bruenor Battlehammer] He-Man's Battle Harness [Konda's Banner] This drop costs $29.99 for the base edition and $39.99 for the foil variant. Nyah-Ha-Ha! As you may predict from the name, the second of the bundles is themed entirely around He-Man's nemesis, Skeletor. Once again, this bundle includes five cards: four renamed reprints and one art swap. Skeletor, Lord of Destruction [Tinybones, the Pickpocket] Skeletor's Villainous Glee [Tasha's Hideous Laughter] Bottomless Pit Evil Warriors' Shroud [Necrogen Mists] Rally the Evil Warriors [Breach the Multiverse] Like the previous bundle, the nonfoil version costs $29.99, while the foil variant is $39.99. She-Ra, Princess Of Power Next up is the She-Ra bundle, which, unlike the name suggests, isn't entirely She-Ra cards, but a collection of cards featuring artwork of heroes who support He-Man and his cause. The bundle includes six cards: four renamed cards and two art swaps. She-Ra, Princess of Power [Sisay, Weatherlight Captain] Silence Swift Wind, Steed of She-Ra [Emiel the Blessed] Bow, Master Archer [Hajar, Loyal Bodyguard] Catra, Force Captain [Kutzil, Malamet Exemplar] Sol Ring Since this bundle includes an extra card, you might expect the price to increase, but it doesn't! It's still $29.99 for nonfoil and $39.99 for the foil variants. Allies And Enemies Of Eternia Next up is the Allies and Enemies of Eternia bundle, featuring another six cards, all of which are renamed and have fresh new Masters of the Universe artwork to enjoy. Man-E-Faces, Actor of Eternia [Sakashima the Impostor] Beast Man, Savage Henchman [Kona, Rescue Beastie] Evil-Lyn, Evil Warrior Goddess [Ertai Resurrected] The Sorceress, Heroic Guardian [Derevi, Emphyrial Tactician] Teela, Warrior Goddess [Samut, Voice of Dissent] Trap Jaw, Wizard of Weapons [Tetsuo, Imperial Champion] Again, despite the added card in this bundle, the cost remains the same at $29.99 for the nonfoil version and $39.99 for the foil variants. Sold Separately Finally, we have the Sold Separately bundle, a nice nod to toy commercials of the past, when some of the coolest accessories or companions didn't always come packaged with the figures you bought. This bundle returns to the five-card format, including one full-art land. The others are renamed reprints, with cool new Masters of the Universe artwork. Battle Cat, Fighting Tiger [Fortune, Loyal Steed] Panthor, Savage Cat [The Gitrog, Ravenous Ride] Bone Throne [Throne of the God-Pahraoh] Sword of Power [Sword of War and Peace] Command Tower Like all the other bundles, this one costs $29.99 for the nonfoil version and $39.99 for the foil variant. For every $149 spent on Masters of the Universe Secret Lair bundles, you will get a copy of the Swan Song promo card, which features artwork from the iconic "Hey, what's going on" He-Man meme. This card is only available while stocks last, and you will receive a copy of the card for each $149 spent, meaning spending $298 gets you two copies and so on (if you happen to be ordering for a group).
