Sign in to your TheGamer account Logan actor Liam McIntyre has shared a heartfelt message about the sudden surge of renewed positivity for Marvel’s Wolverine since it launched yesterday. The last few months have been pretty rough for Marvel’s Wolverine. What was once one of the most highly anticipated PlayStation games found itself in hot water at every turn. Regenerating suits, linear levels, boss battles, character designs, and pretty much everything about the game were getting torn apart online wherever you looked. Things didn’t get much better when the fairly mixed reviews for Marvel’s Wolverine dropped, which made it look like all of Insomniac’s troubles over the past five years weren’t going to have a happy ending. In the last 48 hours, though, things have gotten noticeably more positive now that everyone is actually playing the game, something Logan’s actor has commented on. Liam McIntyre Thanks Wolverine Players For Their Positive Impressions “This Has Been The Honour Of A Lifetime” Ever since Marvel’s Wolverine launched and people were able to try it for themselves instead of just seeing the hate online, a massive amount of the discourse has faded away. Sure, there are still some problems with the game and plenty who find it a little underwhelming, but most agree that it’s a genuinely good game with plenty of merit. Over on Twitter, Logan’s actor, Liam McIntyre, has responded to the swell of positivity surrounding the game. In a video to fans, McIntyre thanked fans for all “incredible words and all of the amazing support” on a “really awesome launch day”, seemingly referencing how the tides have suddenly turned. McIntyre said that he and Insomniac have spent years trying to build something they were proud of, before saying that the developers are the “absolute best”. A clearly emotional McIntyre then says he’s about to push start on his first home playthrough of the game, before calling the role the “honour of a lifetime”. Here's hoping that honour continues in the future. McIntyre’s performance as Logan is one of the best bits of Marvel’s Wolverine, so I’m very happy he’s getting a ton of love and support. Considering how passionate McIntyre has been about the role, it’s nice to see him getting a chance to celebrate it after weeks of Marvel’s Wolverine discourse. This isn’t the first time McIntyre has commented on the game since all that happened, but the lovely message is the most definitive response to the sudden positive turnaround.
