VisionQuest is preparing fans for Doomsday. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Vision was created in the 2015 movie Avengers: Age of Ultron as a sentient synthezoid. His story arc has been one of the more devastating in the MCU due to his relationship with Wanda Maximoff/Scarlett Witch, but fans have restored hope as Vision returns in his own series following WandaVision. It's unclear what the future holds for the two characters, but VisionQuest could provide the answers. VisionQuest arrives on Disney+ on October 14 with a two-episode premiere in the eight-episode season. Disney has confirmed the official release schedule for the MCU's anticipated series VisionQuest. The series sees the return of Paul Bettany as Vision, James Spader as Ultron, Ruaridh Mollica as Thomas Shepard, as well as Todd Stashwick, T’Nia Miller, Lauren Morais, Diane Morgan, Polly Frame, Henry Lewis, and Jonathan Sayer. The schedule is as follows: Episode Release Date Episodes 1 - 2 October 14 Episodes 3 - 4 October 21 Episodes 5 - 6 October 28 Episode 7 November 4 Episode 8 November 11 Vision, rebooted and having escaped from those who sought to weaponize him, has been in hiding. Searching for new meaning, he consults the AI personas embedded in his programming, including F.R.I.D.A.Y., E.D.I.T.H., J.A.R.V.I.S., and the infamous Ultron. His discreet existence ends when a bounty placed on his head thrusts him on the run with Thomas Shepherd, a mysterious boy who may be Vision’s son, reincarnate. As Vision evades capture, he must confront his nature, resist Ultron's influence, and unravel the enigma that is his young companion if he’s to survive. Two previous MCU series are also heavily involved in Vision's story for VisionQuest, including WandaVision and Agatha All Along. Both series show different aspects of their story, with WandaVision heavily focused on the relationship between Wanda and Vision, but also the life she creates through grief, including where Vision ends up following Avengers: Endgame. VisionQuest will also expand on the Maximoff family, including a new look at Tommy Maximoff ahead of Doomsday's release. During ScreenRant's VisionQuest set visit, showrunner Terry Matalas stated, "The premise for this series is we are following Vision after he has been out in the world for a few years, but he is less in touch with his humanity and his past than he would like to be." It's not clear what will happen to the Maximoff family, but VisionQuest could be revealing their future. VisionQuest will arrive on Disney+ on October 14.
