Just a few hours before launch, Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls has confirmed that the broken PC port has seen some major improvements to its biggest issues. Today, August 6, marks the launch day of the long-awaited Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls, the final big fighting game of 2026. With the legendary Arc System Works behind the wheel and a focus on some of the world’s most beloved characters, it’s fair to say that excitement for the game is through the roof. That is, as long as you’re not a PC player. Last month, Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls’ open beta revealed that the PC version of the game was almost unplayable for some due to some surprising performance issues and bugs. There was doubt that the problems could be addressed in time for launch, but it looks like they actually have been. Marvel Tokon Should Actually Be Playable On PC For Launch At Least, That’s What PlayStation Says Over on Twitter, the official Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls account confirmed that it has “addressed some of the issues” that players were faced with on PC during the open beta, specifically targeting performance, stability, and gameplay. Some of the changes impact PS5 players too, but it’s mostly about the Steam version. The biggest issue that’s been fixed is “reduced CPU usage and improved overall performance”, which is what caused the game to be practically unplayable for most during the open beta. The PC version has also improved shader warm-up and anti-aliasing behaviour, which should go some way to addressing performance as well. Outside of that, Marvel Tokon has also fixed some bugs and general stability issues, which seems to go for both versions of the game. Finally, input responsiveness has been improved across the board, with a whopping 623 inputs made easier to execute in the final game, again likely for both PC and PS5. If everything outlined has actually been improved, then it looks like Marvel Tokon is no longer going to be such a difficult game to play on PC. Of course, we won’t know for sure until later today when the game actually goes live, so don’t be too surprised if you end up hearing that everything actually isn’t as stable as it’s made out to be.
