Marvel Studios Reveal Debut VisionQuest Trailer, James Spader's Ultron Shown in Human Form

Marvel Studios show VisionQuest got its debut trailer at Disney fan event D23, with Kevin Feige taking the stage alongside Vision actor Paul Bettany and Ultron actor James Spader to speak about the Disney+ show.Bettany and Spader showed up for the presentation to give fans a first look ahead of the new Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) show's premiere this fall. As Vision has been absent from the saga for years, VisionQuest teases a story that dives deep into his mind and his dangerous relationship with past Avengers villain Ultron."It's been an enormous joy playing the Vision as he's evolved over the years," Bettany said. "He's been an Avenger, a father, a partner to Wanda, and he's helped turn the tide in some fairly enormous battles. He made the ultimate sacrifice and rather inconveniently died several times, which I can tell you is an act that can make long-term financial planning difficult. But I am told that in the Marvel Universe, no one is ever really dead — unless Kevin says they're dead. And even then, I wouldn't really trust him anyway."This Vision is beginning to ask a more complicated question: What, or perhaps who, is he? And what is it that makes us actually human? Which brings us to the person you most want beside you during an existential crisis: Ultron. Yes, Ultron is back, and we're going to figure out humanity together. So obviously, that should go extremely well."WandaVision has remained a favorite Disney+ show among MCU fans since its premiere back in 2021. The first VisionQuest trailer seems to be teasing a post-mortem on that series' catastrophic conclusion, which saw Elizabeth Olsen's Wanda Maximoff duking it out with Kathryn Hahn's Agatha Harkness. With Vision and Wanda's family disbanded as the rest of the superhero universe barrels toward the end of another chapter, it's unclear how it all might tie into this year's Avengers: Doomsday."Frankly, I can’t believe it took you so long to turn to me," Spader added.
