Marvel Officially Reveals The X-Men's Most Dangerous Hero, And It's Not Wolverine

In fact, the most volatile mutant isn't a member of the X-Men per se. Considering the large number of telepathic mutants in the Marvel Universe, one would think that telepaths would eventually take over the Earth or wipe each other out. Similarly, mutant villains like Apocalypse and Legion possess abilities that are strong enough by themselves to render the X-Men's heroic efforts futile before they get the slightest chance to react. Luckily, the X-Men and other heroic mutant coalitions always manage to save the world and mutantkind with enough room to avoid total extinction, even though they always fail to establish long-lasting peace between mutants and humans. Meanwhile, individual mutants like Wolverine, Jean Grey, and Rogue regularly have to witness their abilities lead to more conflicts than they try to avoid. Rogue spent years trying to accept that she couldn't have skin-to-skin contact with anyone around her, while Wolverine and Jean Grey constantly lose control of their powers. Scarlet Witch best exemplifies the terrifying burden of an incredibly useful power she can't control, but since Wanda Maximoff is technically no longer classified as a mutant in Marvel continuity, that title is taken by a different probability manipulator. Domino Is Destined To Assassinate Kamala Khan In The Future Inglorious X-Force #9; Written By Tim Seeley; Art By Luca Maresca & Romulo Fajardo Jr After fighting the anti-mutant podcaster Kali Sez, Cable finally comes to a definitive conclusion to the mystery that assembled his Inglorious X-Force team. Nathan Summers clears every member of suspicion, and even begins trusting every one of them sincerely, before his repaired AI system and file footage from the crime scene remove all doubt. Neena Thurman a.k.a. Domino assassinates President Kamala Khan in the future, and her probability manipulation powers ensure she gets away with it, even causing both Cable and Boom-Boom to conveniently lose their memories of the event as a result of traumatic amnesia. Cable inadvertently complicated his quest to find the culprit when he erased part of Domino's memory in order to protect her and his mission. Now, on top of being destined to assassinate Ms. Marvel, Domino's path has also diverged from Cable's X-Force, leading her to join a different X-Force line-up composed of Warpath, Rictor, Pug-Smasher, and Shatterstar. With Resonant accidentally dead and Cable back in the future, it's up to Boom-Boom to take up the X-Force legacy and rebrand the group as the Fugitiv X-Force, possibly trying to stop Domino from causing more damage while also keeping every volatile hero under control. Domino Has The Most Unpredictable Mutant Power Neena Thurman Will Survive, Whatever It Takes Domino's probability manipulation powers ensure her survival under virtually any circumstance. Neena Thurman's mutation bends chance in her favor, meaning that luck is always on her side, regardless of whether she wants it to or not. Improbable events such as bullets missing her by inches, enemies tripping at the worst possible moment, or machinery malfunctioning at just the right time, constantly occur to keep her alive. In most X-Force and Domino solo stories, coincidences play out in ways that border on terrifying. Allies die in freak accidents while she walks away unscathed, and the most powerful superheroes and supervillains can die just by standing nearby. Domino's survival is inevitable, but it comes at the cost of unpredictable and often tragic consequences for those around her. Even when she’s not actively trying to survive, her mutation ensures she does, sometimes by orchestrating lethal accidents for others. This may be what leads Domino to kill Kamala Khan in the future. While Inglorious X-Force #9's preview pages show her consciously attacking Cable, Domino may actually have killed Ms Marvel accidentally, and she may have had to wipe Cable and Boom-Boom's memories just to survive.
