Marvel Announces Name Of New Venom Replacement Symbiote

This article covers a developing story. Continue to check back with us as we will be adding more information as it becomes available.Marvel replaces Venom with a completely new symbiote who bonds with the original's last host. Following a tumultuous era of separation where Symbiote bonded to Mary Jane Watson and Eddie Brock found himself forced to work with Carnage, Marvel's greatest symbiote-human duo has finally reunited. Charles Soule and Tommaso Bianchi’s Venom #1 marks a new beginning for Eddie and Venom in their return to their street-level anti-hero roots. Meanwhile, Marvel's entire symbiote lore undergoes a dramatic overhaul. Queen in Black scatters the symbiotes into highly unexpected corners of the Marvel Universe and shakes up the active roster of hosts. Fred Myers, formerly Boomerang, takes on a heroic rebirth as Comeback, using his hyperactive new symbiote partner Passenger to become a Spider-Man-themed vigilante. Dylan Brock teams up with Toxin and develops his Chainbreaker persona, and elsewhere, Jessica Drew struggles to control Carnage's bloodthirsty instincts in an attempt to prevent the red symbiote from manipulating the heroes of the Spider-Versity or weaponizing Norman Osborn's Red Carnage alter ego. Most shockingly, the feline symbiote Sleeper becomes the supreme King in Black after Knull's defeat. Venom has returned to his most trusted host, but that doesn't mean its previous human partner will be left without a symbiote of her own. Mary Jane Watson's Symbiote Is Called "Fang" Friendly Neighborhood Mary Jane #1; Written By Ashley Allen; Art By Phil Noto Mary Jane bids farewell to her brief stint as Venom's host by transforming the whole Earth into Venomworld to defeat Knull. Once Queen in Black ends, MJ returns to her job as an actress, but with a twist. Mary Jane's black-and-gold jacket isn't just a nod to her take on Venom, but also a brand-new symbiote called "Fang". She uses Fang's abilities to help people during her daily routine, and she summons its full power to fight Stilt-Man. Although Fang is Venom's off-shoot, it's still a very weak symbiote. So far in Friendly Neighborhood Mary Jane, Fang can only take the shape of MJ's jacket, or a small puddle in his liquid form. When MJ uses Fang to punch Stilt-Man into submission, Fang isn't thick or strong enough to keep MJ from hurting her own hand. Still, as other symbiotes have proved over the years, Fang is likely to evolve, increase its strength, get its own face and personality, and possibly develop unique powers of its own.
