Martin Lewis has an urgent warning for Easyjet customers — and it’s actually great news

But Martin Lewis actually has some good news for holidaymakers. The Money Saving Expert founder has just issued an ‘urgent warning’ for those who are already planning their summer holidays for next year. Taking to his social media accounts on Instagram and TikTok, the finance whizz said: ‘Tomorrow morning, 28 July 2028, is an easyJet flight release day. ‘Easyjet has a rather interesting system for pricing flights. It’s called “dynamic pricing” and it means that the price depends on demand. More demand, the more you pay. Martin explained that there would be nearly 14 million seats available across 78,000 different flights. The catch? Easyjet is keeping schtum on what time exactly those seats will be released. Martin said: ‘I don’t know, Easyjet won’t say. Past experience: sometimes it’s six o’clock tomorrow morning, sometimes it’s five o’clock, sometimes it’s spread throughout the morning.’ There aren’t many clues on the Easyjet website. Currently a simple banner reads: ‘Summer 2027. Keep your eyes peeled, new flights will be landing soon…’ And, when approached for comment, easyJet wasn’t able to tell Metro what time flights will be launched. Think of like trying to concert tickets for Harry Style or Bad Bunny. Martin does add that he’s not claiming Easyjet will be cheaper than any other airline, saying: ‘The release price isn’t guaranteed the cheapest, but it’s usually the cheapest predictable time that you can buy.’ He went onto give an example from a previous flight release date, when a follower of his was able to get flights to Spain for four people (with luggage) for £740. Within hours after purchasing, the same tickets had jumped up to £950.
