Forty-five years after his first single, Marshall Crenshaw remains active and busy -- touring, including a part-time membership with the Smithereens, and working on a documentary about 60s record producer Tom Wilson. He also dug into his vaults for a new release, “The Bootleg Sounds of Marshall Crenshaw: 1984-87,” in advance of his Nov. 2 date at Beachland Ballroom.
