MARKS & Spencer has launched a batch of brand new savoury bakery items – with one set to rival Greggs. The major UK supermarket is loved for its sweet bakery treats and now a brand new savoury range has hit shelves. Priced at £2.25 each, the M&S sausage roll boasts “juicy, perfectly seasoned pork” wrapped in golden puffed pastry and put out for sale warm from the oven. Ideal for tackling hunger on the go, the Marks & Spencer bake is only around £1 cheaper than a Greggs sausage roll. In a statement, the iconic retailer said: “Of course, being M&S, you’re guaranteed the best quality. “From the RSPCA-assured outdoor-bred British pork, sourced from our M&S Select farms, to our best all-butter puff pastry, no other high street sausage roll even comes close!” And those who don’t eat meat don’t have to miss out on a delicious pastry moment, thanks to the new M&S Spinach & Feta Roll. The £1.85 snack encases creamy feta and cooked spinach in baked all-butter croissant dough. Most read in Money For bread fanatics, two new ciabatta bread sticks will no doubt be irresistible. The Mature Cheddar & Vintage Red Fox Ciabatta Bread Stick and Nocellara Olive Ciabatta Stick can both be snapped up from the M&S bakery for £1.50.
