Sign in to your TheGamer account Earlier this year, it was announced that Mario Kart Tour is being officially shut down. It's pretty rare to see a Nintendo game completely taken offline, but alas, it will be made completely unplayable on September 29 later this month. That means we've got just under two weeks left with the game before it's gone for good, and to play the game's exclusive track. However, before that fateful day comes, Nintendo has released its last anniversary tour to give their game a strong closer. So, if you fancy actually playing the game one more time before it's taken off your mobile, this is probably the best and last chance you'll get to do so. We Also Got Some Interesting Stats On top of that, Mario Kart Tour also released its final report on the game before the shutdown, revealing some pretty interesting stats related to the game that it's been collecting ever since launch, one of which is a little sad. In the report, it reveals that the last number of drivers it tallied was 202, which is probably why the game is being shut down in the first place. As for something a bit more light-hearted, the game also released its list of the most popular characters in the game. Quite surprisingly, it's Bowser that tops the list, with Princess Peach coming in second, and Toad taking home the Bronze. We've then got Toadette in fourth, before the big man himself is sitting in fifth. Interestingly, fan favorite characters like Luigi and Princess Rosaline aren't even in the top twenty, though that may be because both were added after launch. Still, it's interesting to see, though the list has told me that there's a criminal lack of Dry Bones appreciators out there.
