AT LEAST two men have been killed and several injured in a horror shooting spree at a factory in Germany. Cops have launched a major manhunt after a gun-wielding suspect rampaged through a complex in Hamburg. One man was gunned down and killed at the scene while another was shot in the stomach and died in the ambulance, reported German newspaper Bild. Paramedics had been unable to save him after the bullet reportedly ripped through a major artery. Drones have been deployed to locate any potentially fleeing suspects from the sky. Hamburg Police have not yet released any theories about the motive for the heinous shooting. Rescue workers could not enter the building initially for fears that the perpetrator was still inside, reported News5. On Wednesday, tens of thousands of visitors are expected at a neighbouring exhibition hall for a large shipbuilding trade fair. It comes just weeks after a gunman stormed a youth centre in Germany and killed six. The deadly rampage unfolded at a mother-and-baby centre in Stade, near Hamburg. Four women and one man died at the scene of the horror shooting and a sixth person died later in hospital. Mass shootings are relatively rare in Germany, especially when compared to the United States, but the nation has seen a recent spike in killings. In 2023, a gunman in Hamburg shot six people dead before killing himself at a Jehovah’s Witness worship hall. In 2016, an 18-year-old German-Iranian man who was obsessed with mass killings murdered at least nine people in Munich.
