Managing Chronic Subdural Hematoma With EMMA

To the Editor Interest in embolization of the middle meningeal artery (EMMA) for chronic subdural hematoma is growing, and the EMMA-Can trial by Dr Shankar and colleagues is welcome. The decision to randomize patients to adjuvant embolization after surgical drainage is commendable because it preserves blinding of the surgeon and isolates the effect of embolization from variability in surgical performance.
