Obi joined the Red Devils in 2024 following four prolific years in Premier League foes Arsenal‘s academy, where he moved from Copenhagen. The forward amassed a total of 32 goals and three assists in only 18 matches with the Gunners’ Under-18s. The Denmark youth international also counts 13 goals in 22 appearances across all competitions with United’s U21s. Obi also made his senior debut in February 2025 and has since registered eight appearances with the first team. Thwaites, on the other hand, has also impressed with a total of 13 goals and four assists in 48 appearances within United’s youth ranks. The midfielder has yet to play for the Manchester giants’ first team.
