Man Utd ‘set to bid £43million for Eduardo Camavinga as they join Chelsea in transfer race for Real Madrid exile’

MANCHESTER UNITED have launched a late move for Real Madrid star Eduardo Camavinga, according to reports in Spain. Despite ex-United and new Real boss Jose Mourinho declaring their window shut, United’s planned opening bid of £43million might turn heads. Two-time Champions League winner Camavinga has fallen down the pecking order in the Spanish capital. He’s been out of sorts for a few seasons and Mourinho seems to prefer Tchoumaeni, Valverde and new signing Bernardo Silva. While Chelsea are also reportedly in the race, reports from Spain suggest United have £80million left to spend on Camavinga and Barcelona left-back Alejandro Balde. Finding a left-back is unquestionably a more pressing issue for United than another midfielder. It’s been one of their primary assignments all summer and despite long-term interest in Lewis Hall and recent links to Arsenal’s Myles Lewis-Skelly – Michael Carrick‘s team are still yet to get one in. The situation seems to be the same for Camavinga, who would reportedly rather stay at Los Blancos – it’s set to be a hectic end to the window for United and Carrick. Comment now
