Club Brugge are not in a hurry to sell, with three years remaining on Seys’ contract. And the Belgian side are set to demand €35million (£30m) for their rising star. This fee is unlikely to deter United, who want to find a long-term solution in the left-back position. But it remains to be seen whether club chiefs will pull the trigger on a deal this summer, or wait as they prioritise other business. Arsenal scouts, meanwhile, have provided boss Mikel Arteta with a detailed report on Seys. They believe that the 5ft 10in star would suit their system as someone solid defensively who also provides creativity on the flank. Newcastle hold an interest but are currently behind Man Utd, Arsenal and Villa in the race. Benfica and Porto both feel that they can provide a perfect platform for Seys’ further development, but could find themselves gazumped by the financial might of the Premier League sides.
