And there was even more drama in the closing stages of half time during the pre-season clash. Sign up for the Football newsletter Thank you! Betis striker Nelson Deossa whacked a ball at Bafode Diakite at point blank range after the defender fouled him by the touchline. Deossa was given a yellow card but some Bournemouth players weren’t happy and rushed over to confront him. That triggered a brawl as former United star Antony got involved and started shoving a couple of Bournemouth players. Scott then raged at the winger and pushed him back before pointing a finger at him. Antony was fuming with the England Under-21 international and tried to engage before Scott walked away. Eventually tensions are eased as the referee told both sets of players to cool down. The official opted to dish out reds for both players as they were sent down the tunnel just before the half time whistle. Bournemouth were leading 1-0 at the time after Tavernier opened the scoring just minutes earlier. But with both teams playing with ten men in the second half, Hernandez drew level before Evanilson made it 2-1 moments later. Fornals then struck the equaliser with ten minutes to play as both sides ended the game with a draw. Antony will be remembered by United fans for his disappointing spell at Old Trafford after joining from Ajax for £85m in 2022. He only played 96 times for the club after falling out of favour with both Erik ten Hag and Ruben Amorim. He spent the 2024-25 season on loan at Betis and became a hit as he scored nine times in his first season. Those performances were enough for Betis to turn his move permanent and he joined in a £25m deal – before scoring 14 in all competitions last season. Comment now
