Man Utd fans call for Ruben Amorim to return as Carrick slammed for comments after Fulham draw

FUMING Manchester United fans have claimed they were better off under Ruben Amorim after their disappointing draw with Fulham. The coach insisted there were positive signs in the dismal stalemate, saying after the result: “I am happy with the energy we showed today. I think we can take a lot from today. Fans were not pleased with the tone of his comments, with the club having recorded only one win in the Premier League so far this season. One fan complained: “Amorim would say things as it is…” Another supporter fumed in a lengthy X post: “Amorim made these players train with high intensity. Carrick shortened training sessions and dropped the intensity. “Amorim got rid of Rashford and Garnacho because of discipline. He showed players their place and tried to bring standards back. Carrick brought Rashford back and starts him EVERY SINGLE GAME despite everything that happened. “Amorim raised the physicality and fitness levels of these players. Carrick didn’t even make them run in pre-season and these players are running less than literally EVERY opponent. I was a big advocate for him getting the permanent job, but man… WHAT A WASTE OF EVERYONE’S TIME.” And a third fan lamented: “This just sums it up. We now have a coach that says he cannot be critical of the players when they play rubbish. “Man United fans changed the meaning of STANDARDS to protect Carrick. He said: “Michael just said there that he was happy with the team’s energy. Michael has to stop defending them. “I get why he’s defending them, he’s loyal, he wants his players to work for him, and there’s a long way to go left in the season. “But both teams were the same, they were absolutely mannequins, I’ve never seen a United team walk around out of possession as much as that “No alertness, no liveliness, you should always be on your toes.
