A 40-year-old man strangled his two daughters inside a five-star hotel room near Bengaluru airport before attempting suicide over a marital dispute, police said. The accused, identified as SG Imran, left a note alleging that he suspected his wife of having an affair with another person.The victims, aged 5 and 10, were residents of Nagawara in north Bengaluru. According to police, Imran strangled both his daughters before allegedly slitting his throat with a knife in an attempt to kill himself, police said.Hotel security personnel entered the room after hearing Imran's screams. The staff alerted the authorities and arranged for him to be shifted to a hospital, where he is undergoing treatment and is out of danger.DCP North East GK Mithun Kumar said police recovered a note from Imran in which he alleged that he was involved in a dispute with his wife and suspected her of being involved with another person. He also claimed to have evidence of the alleged relationship. “We are verifying the exact reason behind the deaths,” the DCP said, adding that police were investigating the case from all angles.Kempegowda Airport police reached the hotel and began an investigation into the double murder and suicide attempt.
