Man ‘sexually assaulted by male stranger who grabbed his hair and kissed him on the neck’ in town park

A MAN was allegedly sexually assaulted by a male stranger who grabbed his hair and kissed him on the neck in a town park. The incident happened in the early hours of July 12 in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, with police now appealing for witnesses. Cops said a man was approached by an unknown male in the field and footpath area of Croyland Road between 12.45am and 1.15am. Northamptonshire Police are now urging anyone who may have witnessed or has information on the incident to come forward. A force spokesperson said: “Police officers investigating a sexual assault in Wellingborough are appealing for witnesses and information. “The incident happened between 12.45am and 1.15am on Sunday, July 12, in the field and footpath area off Croyland Road, Wellingborough. “A man was approached by an unknown male who then allegedly grabbed him by the hair and kissed or attempted to kiss him on the neck before leaving the area. “Officers are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident, saw either man in the area at the time, or has any information which could assist their enquiries. “Witnesses or anyone with information are asked to contact Northamptonshire Police on 101.” Most read in The Sun They added: “Please quote incident number 26000416679 when providing any information to make sure it gets to the right person as quickly as possible.
