Man in his 30s dies after horror collision involving two cars and e-bike – as cops shut road for six hours

A MAN has died in a multi-vehicle crash involving an e-bike. Cops were called to Preston Rise, close to the junction with Cranesbill Road, in Hamilton, Leicester, just before 12.15pm today, July 27. Leicestershire Police said no other injuries were reported and no-one was arrested. Both lanes of the road were initially closed but were reopened around 6.20pm. An air ambulance was seen near by as part of the response. Officers from the force’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are investigating the collision. They have appealed for anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has relevant dashcam footage, to contact police.
