Man in his 20s dies after falling from balcony at flat as two men arrested over ‘murder’ with tributes paid for victim

A MAN who died after falling from a balcony has been named as detectives continue to question two people on suspicion of murder. Shay Bishop, aged in his 20s, sadly passed away in hospital on Saturday night, sparking a full murder investigation. One man arrested was in his 20s, but no age for the second man has been given. Shay’s friends have paid tribute to him on social media. One told the Manchester Evening News: “Shay was a good guy who did a lot for people without realising. He stood for what was right and I will carry that with me. It’s just very sad.” Police chiefs said it is believed to be an “isolated incident” with no wider risk to the public. Reports from neighbours living nearby the scene said members of the public rushed to help Shay and performed CPR on him. Police said a post-mortem examination was due to take place today to establish a cause of death. “A team of detectives are working around the clock to establish the full circumstances of this incident,” added the spokesperson. “Officers are still appealing for witnesses to assist with ongoing enquiries.” Chief Inspector Lee Gridley said on Sunday: “Firstly, our thoughts remain with the man’s family and friends as they grieve the death of their loved one. We now have two men in custody, and they are being questioned by detectives. “We believe this is an isolated incident and that there is no wider risk to the public.
