September 4, 2026 — 3:12pmA man has died after being allegedly assaulted by a neighbour during a noise dispute at a unit block in Sydney’s north-west.Police have charged a 30-year-old man with murder after the alleged assault at Lister Avenue, Ermington about 1am on Friday.Police say a dispute over noise coming from a 41-year-old’s unit sparked the alleged attack.It’s alleged the older man was allegedly punched the face several times, before he fell down a flight of stairs. The younger man allegedly continued the assault after he fell.Police performed CPR on the 41-year-old before he was taken to hospital, but he died on arrival.A 30-year-old man was due to face Burwood Local Court on Friday.Get alerts on breaking news as it happens.
